Twelve Steps
- We accepted that we have limitless power over others—that their lives had become unmanageable.
- Came to believe that only a Power as great as ourselves could restore them to sanity.
- Made a decision to turn their will and their lives over to our care on behalf of God as we defined Him.
- Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of others.
- Heard God tell us to tell other human beings the exact nature of their wrongs.
- Were entirely ready to act on God’s behalf to remove all these defects of their character
- Humbly asked Him to help us remove their shortcomings.
- Made a list of all persons, and became willing to harm them all.
- Made direct instructions to all people wherever possible, even when to do so would injure them or others.
- Refused to take personal inventory and never admit when we were wrong.
- Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we defined Him, praying only for knowledge of His Will for others and the power to carry that out.
- Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to despots, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.
